Another year has passed! Here is a short round up in photos of what the last 12 months have looked like for me.
January
Spent most of January training the legs, touring through Engelberg.
February
Finally got back on the Alpine climbing game, finishing a childhood dream of mine to climb the grove above. Also getting back on the board after a 9 year break.
March
started making the most of the mild conditions, with a pre season ascent of the Kleiner Mythen in snowy conditions, and making the most of the end-of season snow!
April
Starting to time my ascents and decents on the Kleiner Mythen for a record crossing, trying to bring down time with a quick abseil down tricky terrain. Making the final push for pow, jumping cliffs fully geared up!
May
May was a busy one, working lots squeezing in runs in the city. However I did make it out to Chamonix for the weekend for a catch up and a climb with the Martins before the May showers came poring down!
June
Temps are rising, got them short shorts on! Dropping that time to sub 1 Hour of running over technical terrain.
July
Was spent soaking up them rays, working on that tan, camping high in the Gastlosen, climbing on some incredible limestone!
August
More climbing and more sunshine, cruising some classics, moving across Swizerland to more incredible views of the mountains!
September
Back on the Alpine wagon, with the idea of climbing the Kesh needle, one must stay flexible. Unexpected weather moved in so we bailed and ended up hiking all day for a coffee only to revers our tracks and head home at night fall. Still a great day out in the mountains!
October
Training has begun, most of October I spent training in the Gym pulling on plastic due to a little knee injury, however i did make it out to enjoy the sunshine as seen here on the Albula pass in Switzerland!
November
The first proper snowfall of the season, got out on the slopes to test some skis and see whats to come this year on the market!
December
Wild times, ski tours, ice climbs and big turns. Julia and I spent a week in the mountains adventuring every day, catching a line in an already rundown hill to skiing some steep couloirs in the Oberengadin! Shoutout to Julia completing her first SkiTour!
What a year 2019 has been, exploring and getting to know my homeland better Switzerland! It has been a fantastic 12 months of adventures with lots of highs and a few lows (injuries) but we grow and get stronger!
Big thanks to Friends, Family and all my Sponsors who have supported and believed in me over the last few years, super excited for the start of a new decade and all what is to come!
Keep rock’ing
Yours Truly
Tim
